Engineered wood flooring can last a lifetime. Consisting of a real wood veneer top layer that provides the look and finish of the floor, bonded to plywood backing layers that add strength and stability, this flooring is generally more stable than solid wood floors and is indistinguishable from solid once laid.
Here at Diverse, we are proud to stock modern engineered wood flooring that offers a more ecological and durable wood finish. Our range encompasses a multitude of finishes, in a variety of colours, with the most popular styles being oak, walnut and maple.
Many of our manufacturers offer a lifetime warranty and our handpicked manufacturers stock includes a full range from both Tedd Todd, Quick-Step and V4 wood flooring.
Q: Engineered wood floors or solid wood flooring? What's the difference?
A: Our Quick-Step Parquet is an engineered hardwood floor. It means it is made up of three different layers of real wood, compared to one layer for most solid wood floors. Thanks to the careful selection of raw materials used, and a very sophisticated manufacturing process, our engineered hardwood is significantly less effected by to contracting and expanding due to weather changes, than other solid wood floors.
Q: Can I use Quick-Step Parquet floors in combination with underfloor heating or cooling?
A: Contrary to popular belief, engineered or even just wooden floors can definitely be installed with underfloor heating. Engineered wood is able to withstand the stress caused by temperature changes or any humidity levels. Underfloor heating also adds to the warm feel of a genuine parquet floor and is a very nice pairing with your Quick-Step floor.
Q: How long should I wait before I can install Quick-Step Parquet on a fresh concrete floor or screed?
A: Concrete floors or screed need a sufficient time to dry before you can start the installation process your Quick-Step hard wood floor on top of it. In cases of a glued down flooring installation, it is important that the moisture content of the screed is within the specified tolerance limits. Control measurements such as using the ‘CM method’ are highly recommended. Make sure to take screed over the whole thickness as needed.

Q: How to prepare the subfloor for wood flooring?
A: The first thing to do before you install a wooden floor is to inspect any existing subfloor already in position.
